That’s a quote sent by a member of our Discord group. (Thanks for sharing btw!) 

And from the moment I read it I knew what today’s episode would be about.


I think it’s impossible to disagree that there are some truly amazing people out there. People you like or would like to be around. People that are brilliant and made some universally agreed masterpieces. People we wish to be.

And ye, while we agree that there ARE amazing people in the world, it’s quite hard to define what makes someone amazing. I mean if you ask the 8 billion people you’ll get 8 billion different answers. Really depends on how you see people.

I myself don’t know how to answer that question. 


Now look. We all know we only got this one life and yada yada yada. Maybe a better way to put it is we only got this one opportunity to be what WE think is great, we better not waste it. There are people out there you think are amazing, and you have this chance to be like them.

Since we all got different views on what makes an amazing person, you should really just strive for what you admire. Can’t go wrong there.

It’s so hard to translate these thoughts of mine. With this life we have, we can turn into what we believe to be the GREATEST. Imagine what would be the greatest person ever, YOU can be like that. YOU can be amazing. 

The quote from Maya up there refers to the process, the changes, because if you’re not yet the greatest, there are still things to change. 

That might actually be my answer to the question “what makes someone amazing?”.

Someone amazing is who’s got an idea of what a great person is, and reaches for it everyday, getting always a bit closer. And that might be my answer, because that’s what I do everyday. 

Because I want to be what I believe to be amazing.

Mental pillars. Mental pillars is the name I gave to describe what makes us behave the way we do, what makes us NOT allow ourselves to do certain things, and what defines our values. Eventually. It's greed and pride

Hope you enjoy the read! : ) If you’re wondering how I manage to think of things to write here, I literally just sit for about a minute and just write the first interesting thought that comes to mind. A while back, I faced myself with the question:  “When does it stop?” I wasn’t referring to when does the emotions stop, when does peace finally arrive no no no no no, I meant when will I be satisfied with all I achieved? When do I stop striving for more?  I imagine you might be a bit confused by that, but let me explain. A few days ago, at night time, I didn’t have work to do, I already did everything I had to, but I still wanted more, I wanted to go further, to work more, to be even greater.
