Do we want to be missed?

Hope you enjoy the read! : )

The fun about writing a blog with daily posts is that I can just write stuff that I thought about throughout the day, and I also feel like I’ll get better at talking to people, which I believe I was already good at but still. Seriously, you might want to start your own blog.

Anyway, today I thought about the question:
“How do you want people to feel when you’re gone?”

And I believe many people would say that they want them to miss them. Yeah, we want to be missed. But why exactly? (Not even I know where this is going)

I mean… People missing you means that you were important to those people. But if people miss you, they’re sad right? If they miss you, they want you back. So they’re sad that you’re gone.

And we WANT those people to be sad once we’re gone? We want the people that are close to us to be hurt? Or do we want them to miss us because we want to feel important?

This sounds weird but I hope you understand where this thought is coming from.

So what? We just shouldn’t want to be missed? Idk.

I just thought about that because we obviously want the people that we love to always be happy, and we don’t want to do anything that hurts them, but wanting to be missed means that we eventually want those people to be hurt by you leaving.

I’d also talk about relationships. Leaving someone and wanting the person to miss you. But I’m not so good at that so I’ll just leave it.

This post was all over the place and maybe a bit confusing, but I find it fun to have a place to put my thoughts, and I believe many people would go through that “Ey man that’s true”.

So yeah, that’s it for today : )

Hope to see you tomorrow!
