By your side

Hope you enjoy the read! : )

Having friends makes life easier.

It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t want friends.

Like come on, a friend is someone you can count on and understands you, LITERALLY what is there not to want?

Now look, this ain’t a tutorial on how to make friends or how to make people like you, no, that’s all too artificial. We want to have friends that know who we are, right? So all you need to know is to not think about it much and be yourself, ye ye it’s cliché but it’s true. You better bet there are people out there that will click with you, that will understand you, and that won’t get tired of you.

So I think I’ll mostly talk about my experience making friends.

I’ve never tried to make friends, from memory they all just appeared naturally, which is probably the best way for a friendship to start. I don’t really remember how it was during school days, as I don’t have a single friend from school that lasted, sometimes I regret that because I could have been more friendly during that time, but whatever.

And all of my current 7 friends were introduced by my brother or from my friends themselves.

So so so, how is it like making friends as an adult now?

I gotta say I’m not sure. It feels pretty easy. I’m not actively looking for new friends, they just appear, and it’s fun : )

A while back, I used to play a game a lot where people just meet with each other in the game and they are allowed to talk, just voice. I used to play this game on German servers to practice my German, and what was interesting was that people seemed to like me a lot.

I don’t know if people in Germany are depressed all the time, but I remember hearing from a lot of people “Ich mag dich du bist nett!”, which translates to “I like you, you're cool/kind!”, that just from being a fun person to be around. And I even got a real close friend from this game who I don’t talk to that much anymore but maybe one day we’ll be close friends again. I know I could have made a ton of real friends there if I wanted to.

I guess people felt in a way attracted to my charm and way of speaking, you know? Just a fun person to be around with that isn’t annoying. Or maybe the conversation was naturally more interesting because I was from another country.

Those must be the only two requirements for people to enjoy your presence, be fun, and not annoying.

So yeah, I’m not really sure where I was going with this post.

It’s kinda all of the place but I wanted to write about this so I did : )
Hope to see you tomorrow!
